I did a thing.

I am not a HUGE fan of shooting in the cold for extended periods of time, but what’s a natural light photographer to do? … Book a spacious Natural Light Studio in Downtown STL, that’s what! I am still gushing over these photos. Every single family that came by the Studio was a returning Client (always the biggest compliment a photog could receive). They were dressed in their Christmas best and ready to have fun!! I woke up the next day with a giant photo hangover** - so worth it. A huge thank you to Hoba for making my Pinterest Wreath dreams come true. She handcrafted a 3 ft. beauty with cotton stems and pinecones. It was a huge hit with my clients and I am still giddy seeing how my vision came to life with her talents! And of course, this session would not have been complete without Wesley over at City Studio for holding space for us to shoot and be Merry! City Studio has been one of my favorite places to create. Their naturally lit atmosphere needs to be on your next rental list Photogs!!

Last, but certainly, not least - My amazing Assistants; thanks for holding down the fort, sharing in the laughs and helping me lift heavy things!! LOL

P.S. Randi, couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks for keeping the little assistants at bay ;P

THE OUTFITS THIS YEAR WERE FIRE 🔥

I always urge my Client’s to be themselves and they did NOT disappoint. From America’s Next Top Model to the Grinchiest Onsies, I was over the moon with the dang line-up. If you ever need non-traditional holiday outfits, use my Client’s as your inspo 😏 They will set you up for success! Thank them later ;)

noun

  1. When one shoots for an extended period of time, typically guaranteed to occur after 6 hours of continuous shooting. Photographer will then proceed home, slump into bed and wake up the following morning feeling hit by a freight train. It’s magical stuff.
